Orientation decom

The opening scene of the 2012 Event is the medic orientation. The survivors enter a large auditorium containing an unusual chamber in the centre. Here they encountered two Medics who take saliva samples from each survivor without any instruction or explanation.

Once the Survivors have been swabbed and registered by the Medics, they are guided to the large decontamination chamber in the centre of the room. Once all eleven Survivors are all inside, the Decom Chamber is activated remotely. A sequence of lights and sounds is concluded by a strong steam flow. The ‘Hosts’ can be seen motionless, watching the proceedings from an observation deck high above the auditorium.

Before the Decom Chamber completes its sequence, the auditorium is raided by a horde of rabid zombies. Zombies attack the Medics and carry them from the room. Before the Zombies are able to penetrate the Decom Chamber, four armed Security Contractors enter the auditorium to contain the horde.

In the following challenges, if a Survivor is attacked by multiple Zombies, they may be reported as potentially infected. If they do not find vials of the anti-virus hidden about the site within 5 minutes, they must alternatively, spend 30 minutes in the Decom Chamber alienating them from subsequent challenges. The Security Contractors have vials of anti-virus on them and the Survivors can also choose to trade items of value that they have found during the event (ammo, food, lights, devices etc).
